Document folders and Image bank
Users can save and share documents and other material using Teamware Pl@za Document folders. Folder structure follows a hierarchical and expandable file folder and subfolder organization. Sites, subsites, online communities, extranets, intranets and workspaces all have access to their designated document folders. In addition, various groups can have dedicated private document folders. Finally, personal document folders can be given to individual users as needed.

Metadata
Every file has a metadata record which describes the document or material. Metadata fields include title, author, publisher, subject/keywords, type, version and summary/description. Metadata fields are indexed for fielded and full-text searching. The content of documents (e.g. PDF, MS Word) are also indexed for full-text searching.
Image bank
Image bank is integrated with the document folders and designed for hosting images. A folder can be created as an image folder and all of its subfolders inherit the properties of the parent folder. Images can be loaded into an image folder one at a time or in batch from a zip file. The system generates automatically a thumbnail image for each picture to help user browsing and preview. Metadata include original file name, file size and image size in pixels. Images can be searched by fielded searching and browsing.
